WHO ARE WE
Jeremiah 31:1-3

3 The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:

We are Gregory and Keisha Ricks, founders of We Are Loved and Important. Our journey began in York, Pennsylvania, where we served children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness directly from our home. What started as a small grassroots effort, providing food, clothing, household items, toiletries, blankets, backpacks, and even sleeping bags quickly grew into a consistent community mission.
In early 2023, we became an official nonprofit organization and expanded our outreach beyond Pennsylvania to communities across Maryland, including Baltimore, Owings Mills, and Bowie. Since 2019, we have supported thousands of families with essential items that many of us take for granted, such as laundry detergent, dish soap, and body wash. We have also provided thousands of individuals experiencing homelessness with food, toiletries, socks, undergarments, blankets, and sleeping bags.
As we continue to grow, our commitment remains the same: to expand our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring that children, families, and community members facing hardship know they are seen, supported, and important.
